No, da mi nastavimo sa radom. Naslov današnje lekcije je Past Tense of the verb TO BE. Prevod je Prošlo vreme glagola TO BE. Kao što znate sadašnji oblici glagola TO BE su AM, IS, ARE, a prošlo vreme su WAS i WERE. Was i Were se koriste kako bi iskazali kako smo se osećali ili gde smo bili nekad u prošlosti.
WAS se koristi za I, he, she, it.
WERE se koristi za we, you, they.

Interrogative (odrični oblik) gradi se inverzijom, tj. zamenom mesta subjektu i pomoćnom glagolu, gde pomoćni glagol dolazi na prvo mesto:
Was he at school?
Ako koristimo upitnu reč (where, when, why, what, how, ...) onda ona dolazi na početak, i opet imamo inverziju subjekta i glagola biti:
Where was he?
Negativni oblik glagola biti se gradi dodavanjem nastavka "not" na glagol, znači "wasn't" i "weren't".
